Perhaps Riefenstahl's most artistic project yet it remains a source of controversy owing to the backdrop of the 1936 Berlin Olympics in Nazi Germany.

It has often been the focal point of critics who point to a purported fascist agenda which they see in every ripple of muscle.

What remains however, is one of the most ambitious films ever undertaken.
